FDIC InsuranceBankAnnapolis is an FDIC insured bank which means that your money is insured by the federal government up to $250,000 per depositor per insured institution (this coverage was increased from $100,000 to $250,000 and is in effect through December 2009). In addition, BankAnnapolis is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under this program, through December 31, 2009, all non-interest bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Non-interest bearing transaction accounts include IOLTA's and NOW accounts that earn .50% or less. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's General Deposit Insurance Rules.
